Monday, December 19, 2011 at 8:08PM Friday is our "Family Pizza and Game Night", but lately the 'game night' part has evolved into an activity of some sort that we do togther. This week we put together a gingerbread house. It was the kind that came pre-cooked in a box, so it had "icing" that was really glue and a bunch of candy to decorate the house.
We had lots of fun decorating the house, and the girls were quite proud of their creation.

Cheating a bit here, but I took this one when I was doing Picture Color and I was playing with the candy for the final photo. I love how you can have a punch of colour even when there are two strong colours.

Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 7:43PM This year the girls got their hallowe'en inspiration while we were at the Waterloo Royale Medieval Faire in September. One of the costume booths had masks and the girls both found one they liked. Kiera decided to go as a black cat.
Eowyn found a colourful masquerade mask, and decided to go as a jester. Well we were walking through HomeSense, and spotted a selection of costumes. They had a beautiful red and gold court dress, and I knew it would go well with the mask turning Eowyn into a Venetian Carnival Lady. She looked really beautiful in her costume.
